Social Media Takeover

Do you want to take over the Northshore School District's social media for a week? We're looking for high school students and staff members who want to share their stories, art, projects and imagination.

    Who can take over?
We are currently accepting applications from high school students (with parent/guardian permission) and Northshore School District staff. Up to three people will be selected each week.

How will you select who gets to take over?
As part of the application, you will be asked to share your why and propose ideas for your posts. We are looking for unique voices. Take your time and think about your answer, it will be the biggest deciding factor. You will also be asked to create an example post in the application.

How many posts do I need to create?
We're asking for 3-7 posts in a week.

Where will I be able to post?
The Northshore School District's Instagram and Facebook account.

Do I need to have a personal social media account?
No, you don't need a social media account to participate.

    How will I post?
If selected, you will get a temporary account in our social media publishing tool. This will allow you to submit posts. Your posts will not be published until approved by a member of the Communications team. Training will be provided for using this tool.

    What can I post?
You'll be able to share photos and short videos. We want you to share your story: what projects are you working on? How are you staying active and connected? What advice do you have for others? As long as your posts are appropriate for Northshore School District's policies and values, you are only limited by your imagination.
