Application Window Opens for Facility Renaming Committee
BOTHELL — The Northshore School District invites community members, district staff and students to apply to serve on a committee that will examine a request to change the name of Pop Keeney Stadium.
The deadline to apply to serve on the Renaming an Existing School Facility Committee is Thursday, May 4. The committee will meet once in late May 2017, then again several times in the fall to develop recommended options.
The committee will seek input and feedback from constituents on the implications a name change might have to the historical significance and meaning of the current facility’s name to staff, students, alumni and community members.
Following the process, the Renaming an Existing School Facility Committee will provide a recommendation to the School Board on the requested change.
Those interested may apply online or download a PDF to submit by May 4. To read more and access the applications, please visit www.nsd.org/renaming, or request a paper application from the Communications Department at the Northshore Administrative Center, 3330 Monte Villa Parkway, Bothell.
