Summer Accelerated Math Information

Students and families should carefully consider potential post-high-school plans as students consider summer school math acceleration. Choosing courses thoughtfully as early as middle school will ensure that students receive the level of math instruction required for their college major or other post-secondary track.

The Northshore School District will offer Summer Accelerated Math courses through our Northshore Summer School program.

Summer math acceleration pathways:

A student who was enrolled in this course for the 2019-20 school year...
Will enroll in the following Summer School Math Accelerated course... 
After successful completion, will be placed in this math course during the 2020-2021 school year…

If summer school math acceleration is an option you and your student would like to pursue, follow these steps:

  1. Read this letter outlining the considerations and expectations 
  2. Complete the Notice of Intent to Participate in Summer Math Acceleration Class form by June 22
  3. Register for the appropriate summer accelerated math class

Northshore School District Summer School 2020 general information for accelerated math courses:

Dates:  June 25 to July 30, 2020
Times:  Class times are Monday through Thursday, 8:00-10:00 am.
Location:  All Summer School 2020 classes will be held virtually
Tuition:  $350.00
Out of District Additional Fee:   $100.00

NSD Summer School Registration & Information

Refund Policy: 60% if approved before or on the first day of school, 50% on day two, and 40% on day three. No refunds will be issued after the THIRD DAY OF CLASSES.
