Highlights include the tight-knit community, Project-Based learning, Project Lead the Way courses, College-In-The-High-School classes, internships, leadership opportunities, clubs, and activities.

Students apply rigorous academic standards to authentic, deep learning while mastering the future-ready skills students need to lead and succeed:

  • Communication
  • Critical Thinking
  • Collaboration
  • Creativity
  • Citizenship
  • Agency

All ILHS students take Crew, a class where students work together, build trust, and develop strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills as they practice engaging with people from diverse backgrounds. Crew leaders serve as students’ advocates and help build a strong support network for each Crew member. Students say their Crew community is the most meaningful part of their experience.
