Waiver Submission Dates

2026-2027 School Year

  • Employee Waivers (K-12): 01/06/26 - ongoing
    • Full Time and Full Year Northshore School District Employees.
       
  • Current In-district and Out of District Waivers (K-12): 01/06/26 - 01/31/26
    • Students currently on an in-district waiver who moved during the school year and were approved only through the end of the 2025–26 school year (prior to January 2026), and who wish to remain at the same school for the remainder of the school level, must submit an In-district Waiver Application.
    • Students who are currently on an Out of District waiver must submit Choice Transfer Request. Current out-of-district students who do not submit a Choice Transfer Request for the 2026–27 school year will be withdrawn on June 18, 2026, the last day of school.

      **Any requests submitted after January 31 will be denied. Families will need to request a denial appeal meeting with the Director of Student Services by contacting Wen Hay at whay@nsd.org.**

Students who moved after January 31, 2026 will be processed as new waiver requests.

  • New In-District Waivers (K-12): 03/04/26 - 03/27/26
    • First-time waiver requests within Northshore School District
    • Students transitioning to middle school (5th–6th) or high school (8th–9th)
    •  In-district Waiver Application 
       
  • New Out of District Waivers (K-12): 04/02/26 - 04/30/26 Choice Transfer Request 
    • First-time waiver requests to the Northshore School District
    • Students transitioning to middle school (5th–6th) or high school (8th–9th)
       
  • Choice Schools: 
    • Innovation Lab HS: 01/08/26 - priority deadline 2/12/26 with continuous enrollment. Waivers are submitted as part of the application process. Visit the school's website for details.

      For all other Choice Schools, waivers are submitted after students are accepted through the school's application process. Please visit each school's website for more information about enrolling.
    • International Baccalaureate (IB) at Inglemoor HS: 01/08/26 - priority deadline 2/12/26
    • Northshore Learning Options (NLO): Family Partnership and Online Academy 01/08/26 - priority deadline 2/12/26 with continuous enrollment 
    • PACE (located at Lockwood ES, Wellington ES, and Woodmoor ES): priority deadline 2/05/26 with continuous enrollment
    • Spanish Dual Language (Grades K-5 Located at Woodin ES): 01/08/26 - priority deadline 2/12/26 with continuous enrollment
    • EAP Waivers (Grades 2-5):  03/15/26 - ongoing
