Early Entrance Kindergarten

Although Northshore does not encourage early entry for the vast majority of students, application for testing for early entrance is available at parent expense for students who turn 5 between September 1 and November 30. Students who turn 5 on December 1 and beyond will enter kindergarten age appropriately. The cost for testing is $200 per student..

Remember, the application and payment are due by June 30, 2024, to be considered for testing. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.

You can submit your payment and completed applications via mail or drop-off to: Northshore School District--Early Entrance to Kindergarten 3330 Monte Villa Parkway Bothell, WA 98021

Alternatively, you can submit your application via the application portal and  pay through our district's online credit card payment system, Touchbase. You will need to set up a guest account (even if you already have a child in the district). Directions for doing that can be found here.

All testing will take place individually and in-person during the months of June (27th and 28th only), July, and August 2024. Families will be contacted with an assessment date and location. Please indicate any times you are unavailable on your application, and we will make every effort to accommodate those dates.
