Outbreaks of novel virus infections among people are always of public health concern. The risk from these outbreaks depends on characteristics of the virus, including how well it spreads between people, the severity of resulting illness, and the medical or other measures available to control the impact of the virus.

Hand Washing

Hand washing is a simple and easy way to stay healthy and prevent the spread of illness.

Lice comb being used

The best way to prevent head lice is to check your child regularly, at least monthly. If your child has head lice please inform your school's nurse.

Render of Flu virus

Influenza spreads readily from person to person in schools, workplaces and homes. Everyone over 6 months of age should get the annual flu vaccine to prevent sickness, unnecessary healthcare visits, hospitalizations, and deaths from influenza.

Contagious illness is always with us and can be spread in a variety of ways. If your child has any of the symptoms listed, please keep him/her at home until the symptoms subside.
