Chicken burger on a whole wheat bun, topped with lettuce, pickles and tomato

Our chicken burgers are made with all white chicken meat and served on a whole grain bun with oven-roasted potato wedges. Students are encouraged to add fresh vegetables like lettuce, tomatoes and onions along with a side of fruit from the garden bar to create a complete and balanced meal. But how does our meal compare to the chicken sandwich and fries from a popular fast food restaurant?

Our meal has:

  • 307 fewer calories
  • 52% less sodium
  • 62% less total fat
  • 75% less saturated fat

Public schools are required to keep the average lunch calories between 550-650 for grades K-5, 600-700 for grades 6-8 and 750-850 for grades 9-12. Our chicken burger and potato wedges meal is appropriate for all grade levels!
