  • On June 23rd, the board approved an increase in the fee for 5th-grade students participating in the overnight camp from $75 to $200. This adjustment was largely necessitated by rising camp costs and a reduction in state grant funding. Historically, before the grant was available, students paid about $160 for a three-day, two-night camp experience. Even at that rate, this opportunity was significantly subsidized by the district's general fund.

  • Regrettably, the new fee of $200 is insufficient to provide the same two-night experience we have traditionally offered. A comparable camp experience for this year would cost approximately $325 per student, which would also require a substantial increase in what chaperones would need to contribute. This is not feasible or sustainable for our families. Over the last two years, we have already seen a decline in student and family participation in the 5th-grade camp; further cost increases could worsen this trend, especially during uncertain economic times.

  • Please contact your individual school if cost, family values around overnights, or your student’s individual needs limit your ability to participate in this program.

    Payment Information:

  • Student fees can be paid by cash or check at the school office along with a registration form.

  • If paying the full $200 fee, families may use the district’s online credit card payment program. A $2.95 convenience fee is assessed during checkout.

  • For eligible students who have completed the application for free/reduced meals and the consent to fee waiver form (either during the application process or separately on the Food Services page), the camp fee will ring up as $0 with no processing fee.

    • The free/reduced application can be found on the Food Services page. The online application only takes a few minutes and is the fastest, easiest way to get approved. Paper applications are also available. Parents wishing to have a paper application mailed to them should contact the Food Services office at 425-408-7657. The reduced fee waiver can also be accessed via the Food Services page.

Adult Group Leaders

Each camp session is staffed with a limited number of volunteer parent/adult group leaders. Please check with your students' school for space availability before making payment to be an adult group leader. The ratio for adult group leaders to students is 2 adult leaders per cabin. Parents/Guardians of students qualified for fee waivers are eligible for a 50% reduction of the Adult Group Leader fee.

Scholarship Donation (optional)

Please consider a tax deductible donation to the outdoor educational scholarship fund. Your donation will make camp affordable for all students. Donations will be accepted during the designated enrollment period for the current school year. Please inquire with the school's office for more information.
