Fall 2019 High School Athletics Awards & Accomplishments

Congratulations to all fall sport student athletes for their accomplishments throughout the season. Below are highlights of student and team successes!

 

All-KingCo Awards: Girls Swim & Dive

Five Northshore students were given honorable mention in the All-KingCo Awards:

  • Taylor Fitch (WHS)
  • Haley Kamikawa (BHS)
  • Salima Mayanja (BHS)
  • Ella Marzec (IHS)
  • Alyssa Heusted (NCHS)
All-League Team: Boys Tennis

Four students received KingCo Boys Tennis All-League Team honors:

  • Singles 1st Team:
    • Adam Walter (IHS)
    • Johnny Schuller (BHS)
  • Doubles 1st Team:
    • Roman Mar / Sreeman Mandapati (IHS)
Bothell Boys Tennis
  • Team received KingCo Sportsmanship Award
  • Johnny Schuller placed 2nd in KingCo and will compete in the 4A tennis boys championship in next May
Bothell Football
  • Finished 2nd in WIAA 4A State Championship
  • Tom Bainter named KingCo Coach of the Year
  • Christian Galvan (RB) named All-League MVP Offensive Player
Bothell Volleyball
  • KingCo 4A State Academic Champions with a 3.77 GPA. The team was honored for this award during the State Tournament in Yakima
  • Competed in the 4A Wes-King Tournament
  • Two students received All-League Team honors
Bowling

AJ Olson, a junior at Inglemoor, took first place in his division and earned 3rd place overall at the Special Olympics Washington State Tournament!

Inglemoor Cross Country
  • Verada Ellett was the first ever state champion in the Ambulatory Division of the state cross country meet.
  • Cooper Laird finished 7th in the boys race.
  • Tyler Nehr Finsihed 70th in the boys race.
Inglemoor Girls Soccer
  • After an amazing season, the Vikings fell just short in the state semi-finals and placed fourth in state.
  • Kent Nelke was voted KingCo Coach of the Year
  • Ashly Berge was named KingCo Offensive MVP
  • Kent Nelke and Juliana Barker made the Seattle "All Times" team
Inglemoor Girls Swim & Dive
  • 200 Medley Relay finished 8th at State and included Jewel Hau, Maddy Chow, Ella Marzec and Maddie Brown
  • Megan Chow finished 13th at State in the 200 IM
  • Ella Marzec finished 15th at State in the 100 Fly
  • 200 Free Relay finished 12th at State and included Grace Liu, Naomi Voeller, Maddie Brown and Ella Marzec
North Creek Boys Golf

Ryan Knox qualified for the state tournament that will take place this spring.

North Creek Football
  • The Jaguars competed in 4A football playoffs for the first time in school history.
  • Ten players received All-League Team honors.
North Creek Girls Swim & Dive
  • Alyssa Heusted competed at State for 100 Fly and 500 Free
  • Eva Zaro competed at State for dive
North Creek Volleyball
  • Team placed 5th in the State Tournament
  • Kyleene Filimaua named KingCo 4A Most Valuable Player Co-Winner
  • Bella Moon named KingCo 4A Defensive Player of the Year
  • Richard Abiador named KingCo 4A Coach of the Year
  • Five players received All-League Team honors
Waterpolo

The Northshore Men's Water Polo team finished with their best record ever (14-6)! Their Coach Lettic was named coach of the year and five students received all-league honors.

Woodinville Cross Country

Elyn Lee, Nell O'Hara, Gabe Kary, Jordan Kauffman, and Kya Villanueva qualified for the State Championship

Woodinville Football
  • The Falcons as a team achieved an average 3.37 GPA and were named KingCo 4A State Academic Champions.
  • Team reached the state semifinal.
  • DJ Baddeley named Assistant Coach of the Year
  • Noah Stifle named WIAA Athlete of the Week in week 12.
  • Fifteen students received All-League Team honors.
Woodinville Slowpitch Softball
  • Team placed 7th in WIAA Scholastic Award
  • Jada Alcantara named "Player of the Year" in All-League Team
  • Kim Benedict named "Co-Coach of the Year" in All-League Team
  • Five students received All-League Team honors
Woodinville Soccer
  • Placed 3rd in WIAA Scholastic Award
  • Competed in WesKing tournament
  • Five students received All-League Team honors
