The enVision A|G|A curriculum by Savvas Learning Company is a comprehensive math program designed for Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Algebra 2/Trigonometry. It offers both print and digital student texts and teacher editions, integrated with the Savvas Realize online platform. The curriculum emphasizes conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and real-world application through features like Mathematical Modeling in 3 Acts, STEM projects, and vocabulary-building activities. It aligns with the Common Core State Standards and supports diverse learners through differentiation tools, multilingual resources, and accessibility features. Lessons are structured around a consistent four-part model—Explore, Understand & Apply, Practice & Problem Solving, and Assess & Differentiate—promoting deep mathematical thinking and discourse. Northshore will implement Algebra 1 in all middle and high school Algebra 1 classrooms beginning Fall 2025. This initial phase includes class sets of textbooks and individual student digital licenses valid for seven years. Instructional materials for Geometry, Algebra 2, and Algebra 2/Trigonometry will follow in Fall 2026. The total cost for the Algebra 1 implementation is $395,977.20, which will be funded through carryover savings from the 2024–25 Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment (CIA) budget.

Phonics for Reading -This supplemental curriculum is designed to help older students—particularly those in secondary grades—develop foundational reading skills through explicit, systematic phonics instruction. The program is currently being piloted with middle school English Language Development students who require targeted decoding instruction to become proficient readers, with plans to expand its use to support students in Special Education. Closely aligned with the Common Core State Standards, especially in areas like phonemic awareness and word recognition, Phonics for Reading ties directly to i-Ready diagnostic data, allowing educators to identify and address phonics gaps efficiently. Its structured, routine-based lessons, developmentally appropriate content, and low-prep, scripted teacher materials make it both effective and easy to implement. Students in the pilot group demonstrated reading growth at rates 2–4 times higher than average, highlighting the program’s ability to accelerate learning and close critical literacy gaps for struggling readers. The curriculum has already been purchased by the school building for the pilot program at a cost of $1421.89.
PurposeFull People is a web-based, research-driven social-emotional learning (SEL) and character education curriculum designed for Pre-K through 5th grade. Kenmore Elementary plans to use it as a supplement to Second Step, enriching Tier 1 PBIS supports and expanding student growth in key SEL areas. The program focuses on explicit skill instruction around monthly character traits such as empathy, perseverance, and responsibility, while also teaching and reinforcing skills in conflict resolution, executive functioning, and emotion regulation. Aligned with all six Washington SEL standards, the curriculum includes whole-school implementation tools and family engagement resources, helping to build strong home-school connections. Instructional practices include evidence-based strategies such as modeling, guided practice with feedback, and opportunities for skill generalization across contexts. With differentiated resources by grade level and flexible teacher access to all materials, PurposeFull People provides developmentally appropriate, engaging instruction that promotes a positive, inclusive school culture and supports academic and life success for all learners. The curriculum will cost $2399.80 and will be paid from the school budget.
Quill is a supplemental online program designed to provide targeted grammar instruction through diagnostics, personalized learning plans, and synchronous lesson tools. Originally approved for middle school use, the Bothell High School English Language Development (ELD) team is requesting district-wide approval for high school implementation to address a critical gap in grammar and writing instruction for multilingual learners. While EL-specific English classes include embedded writing instruction, students often lose access to this support once they transition into general education ELA courses. Quill offers high school-appropriate, adaptive instruction aligned to language proficiency needs, helping students continue their language development beyond sheltered settings. With specialized tools and teacher-facing resources, Quill supports both individual student growth and collaborative instruction between ELD and English teachers. Its adoption would promote vertical alignment in grammar instruction and provide equitable, accessible resources to support writing growth among multilingual students, addressing persistent performance plateaus on annual proficiency assessments. Bothell plans to pilot the program through a PTSA grant during the 2025–26 school year for a cost of $160.00.
UFLI Foundations is a comprehensive, research-based phonics curriculum designed to systematically and explicitly teach the foundational skills essential for proficient reading. Intended for use as core instruction in primary grades or as a Tier 2 or 3 intervention for struggling readers at any grade level, UFLI provides a clear scope and sequence that introduces and reinforces phonemic awareness, phonics, and spelling through evidence-based routines. Lessons include detailed teacher guides, interactive slide decks, and supplemental materials for practice and reinforcement. The curriculum promotes professional growth for educators by modeling best practices in reading instruction and providing optional professional development resources such as webinars and video demonstrations. Each lesson follows an 8-step structure with warm-ups, explicit teaching of new concepts, and guided and independent practice, incorporating strategies such as interleaved practice and immediate corrective feedback to support skill retention and transfer. Aligned with Common Core and Washington State standards, UFLI is developmentally appropriate, flexible in pacing, and designed with visual supports and predictable routines that benefit a wide range of learners across K–5 classrooms. The cost is $90 and will be paid by PTA funds.

Freedom on My Mind: A History of African Americans with Documents is designed to center and amplify the voices, experiences, and contributions of Black Americans throughout U.S. history. This resource is especially impactful for students of color, particularly Black students, who may rarely see their identities reflected in a meaningful or empowering way in academic content. By highlighting a counter-narrative, the textbook fosters a more inclusive and accurate understanding of American history. The materials utilize proven instructional practices such as the use of primary and secondary sources, evidence-based writing, academic discourse, and higher-order questioning to promote critical thinking and student-led inquiry. Teachers are also supported with instructional guidance, strategies, and activity ideas to facilitate meaningful classroom engagement. As an AP-level resource designed for high school students (grades 9–12), the textbook offers rigorous yet age-appropriate content that aligns with students’ maturity levels and builds on prior knowledge from U.S. or World History courses. DÉFI FRANCOPHONE is the recommended textbook for the University of Washington’s College in the High School (CHS) French course currently offered at WHS. It follows a task-based, content-rich approach that blends linguistic development with cultural exploration, encouraging students to build their skills through collaborative, creative, and reflective learning. Each unit features micro-tasks that build toward larger communicative goals, or défis, designed to foster 21st-century competencies such as critical thinking and intercultural communication. Aligned with ACTFL’s World-Readiness Standards and OSPI’s World Language learning goals, the curriculum supports communication, culture, connections, comparisons, and communities. The materials promote student achievement through inductive grammar instruction, vocabulary building, and authentic texts such as blogs, articles, and infographics. Students actively construct knowledge by engaging with diverse perspectives and cultural content from the Francophone world. Leota Challenge - The curriculum is a collection of supplemental Spanish-language materials intended for 6th–8th grade former Dual Language students at Leota Middle School. It includes ten comprehensible readers and a bi-weekly news publication, El Mundo en Tus Manos, which presents current events across the Spanish-speaking world in three levels of difficulty. Published by Wayside Publishing and Mira Canion, these resources are designed to enhance the core Realidades curriculum by providing engaging, culturally diverse fiction and nonfiction texts. High School ELA Novels Collection - Supplemental Curriculum for 9-12 ELA- The intended use of these materials is to enhance the English Language Arts (ELA) curriculum by integrating novels that reflect diverse perspectives and underrepresented voices. These novels will be utilized in classrooms through whole class instruction or literary groups, facilitating a more inclusive and empathetic learning environment. The ELA Novel Study Committee has carefully selected these titles to achieve the following objectives: varied representation, critical thinking and empathy, relevant and high-interest context, diverse characters without tokenism and authentic voices. Overall, the use of these materials aims to create a more inclusive, engaging, and thought-provoking ELA curriculum that prepares students to think critically, empathize with others, and appreciate the richness of diverse perspectives.
Peer Physics - Core Curriculum for 8-12 Physics - PEER physics is a POGIL (Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning ) curriculum that is designed to match the guidelines set forth in the NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards). It is an introductory physics curriculum that focuses on learning physics through evidence. The professional development part of the curriculum encourages the teaching style to change from a teacher centered class structure to a student centered classroom.
