Natural Leaders

The Natural Leaders program was developed by the Washington Alliance for Better Schools (WABS) in 2003 with parents in Shoreline, Everett, Edmonds, Mukilteo, and Northshore schools with funding from an OSPI Readiness to Learn grant. Further support in 2011 from the Discuren Foundation helped expand the program into Marysville and Monroe schools districts. The Natural Leaders Program is cited by OSPI as a strategy for improving high school graduation rates for English learners.

The following schools have the Natural Leaders program. Parents from these schools have received training from the WABS. If you would like to be a natural leader and engage in school activities, please reach out to the principal of your child's school or the district coordinator, Srinivas Khedam (skhedam@nsd.org).
