Reconnecting ParentVUE and StudentVUE

As a result of new server configurations, families that previously used the ParentVUE and StudentVUE mobile apps will need to clear the apps' cache. For families with Apple Devices, it is faster to simply remove and reinstall the app. Families using Android devices must navigate the phone settings to clear the apps' cache. Please follow the instructions below for your device.

Note: you will need to know your username and password to log into the app, even if you have previously saved it within the app.

Apple Devices

  • Delete and reinstall the ParentVUE and/or StudentVUE app.
  • Open the app, respond as you wish to any questions about notifications that may come up on your screen, and then swipe left to find the Northshore School District server.

  • A message appears requesting to Allow StudentVUE to access this device’s location:
    Location permissions screen
    • If you select ALLOW: The app will determine your location and provide a list of nearby school districts.
    • If you select DON’T ALLOW: Enter your zip code and the app will provide a list of school districts near you
  • Select Northshore School District from the list. A confirmation message appears. Tap OK.

  • You may receive a message asking if you would like to activate your account. Tap ALREADY ACTIVATED.

  • Login in using your user id and password.

Students, if you have forgotten your password, you may reset it at password.nsd.org.

Android Devices

  • Press and hold on the app icon until a popup menu appears.
  • Tap APP INFO.

  • Tap STORAGE & CACHE from the list of options. Depending on your phone, it might be listed only as STORAGE.

  • Tap CLEAR CACHE and return to your home screen.

  • Open the app and swipe left.

  • A message appears requesting access your device’s location.

    • If you select "Allow all the time" or "Allow only while using the app": The app will determine your location and provide a list of nearby school districts.
    • If you select "Deny": Enter your zip code and the app will provide a list of school districts near you.
  • Select Northshore School District from the list. A confirmation message appears. Tap OK.
