Woodin: March 2025 Construction Update

Woodin: March 2025 Construction Update

Construction on the new building at Woodin Elementary is progressing, with drywall going up in the interior spaces and exterior brickwork taking place to match the design of the current school buildings. Electrical, HVAC, and security cameras are also being installed at this time.

With the anticipated completion of the building in fall 2025, the expansion project at Woodin will replace 6 portable classrooms with a new one-story building that adds 6 new permanent classrooms, 2 music rooms, a gym, small group break out areas and rooms, other administrative and support spaces as well as inclusive restrooms. The project also includes revisions to the site to provide new on-site parking locations, improve vehicular circulation, revise the play areas to feature an accessible inclusive playground and new turf field, and install a new ADA sloped ramp from the new building to the upper field area. Some of the site work will continue to take place after the building is open for student and staff use in fall 2025. This project is funded by the 2022 Capital Bond, which was generously supported by Northshore voters.
