The Northshore Concert Hall at Inglemoor project is in the process of permitting for land use with the City of Kenmore. The team has been busy working to meet the city’s requirements for land use and stormwater. Additionally, the construction documents for the project, which outline how the building will be constructed, are nearly complete.
As part of the process, Cornerstone, the contractor for the project, may only self perform up to 30% of the work. The remaining work must be subcontracted. This allows as many other firms as possible to have the opportunity to work with Northshore, and it also ensures that the District secures the best price for the work through the competitive bidding process. The project is currently out to bid for subcontractors. The bids are presented in packages, including acoustic ceilings and treatments, aluminum window systems and glass, building concrete and site development. The bid process is expected to close on May 11 and 12. More information about the bid process can be found on the District website.
The team also continues to work on obtaining building permits as it plans for groundbreaking.
This project was made possible by the generous support of Northshore voters, who approved the 2018 bond.
