Hello, I am a senior in high school. Some of my hobbies include gardening, reading, and baking. This is my second year on the board and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity. I plan to pursue a caree in Biomedical science and the feild of STEM. The reason I joined is to share feedback to help improve Altering Learning Environments. I truly enjoy my time as a youth advisor. This club has grown my interest in advocacy.

Hey! I’m Valen and I’m a senior at innovation lab high school. I plan to pursue a degree and career in the criminal justice field. Some of my hobbies include, Photography, and writing. I am a senior at Woodinville High School, and am the president of the WHS Gender and Sexuality Alliance and Lead Executive Writer of the WHS Journalism club. I joined the advisory board because I wanted to assist in making sure that the board is doing everything it can to keep students, staff, and families safe. Wether it be related to financial stability or keeping others safe from discrimination, I am here on this board to ensure that the work is done to make everyone in the district feel as welcome as I do.

Hello, I’m Rishi, a junior at North Creek High School, and this is my first year on the board. I joined the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Board to learn how the district operates and to help explain administrative decisions to my peers. I hope to collaborate with fellow students to improve the district and address topics of high priority. Outside of school, I enjoy playing tennis, running track, and dancing. I am passionate about sustainability and hope to help move toward a greener school district. I value diverse perspectives and enjoy connecting with students from schools. I’m excited for this year on the board!

Hi, I’m Abby! I’m a senior at North Creek High School and currently serve as ASB President. After high school, I plan to pursue a career in Education. I chose to serve on the Student Advisory Board because I believe leadership is a responsibility, not a title. As a Christian, I’m called to serve others, stand for truth, and use my voice to positively influence my community. I want to bring a perspective rooted in personal responsibility, strong values, and respect for families, teachers, and the traditions that make our schools strong. My goal is to help ensure that students are heard, that common-sense solutions guide decisions, and that our district remains focused on excellence, character, and accountability. I believe every student deserves a safe, supportive environment where hard work is recognized and moral integrity is encouraged. By serving on the board, I hope to build stronger communication between students and district leadership and help shape policies that reflect faith, good stewardship, and a commitment to doing what’s right—even when it’s not easy.

Hello, my name is Taanvi Arekapudi. I am a 16-year-old international bestselling author of Uplift Teens Today and founder of Nexus: Mental Health Hub for Schools, a free, teen-led platform reaching over 1.2 million students worldwide, including NSD. As an Irish-born Indian American student, I am passionate about improving school mental health and creating learning environments where every student feels seen, heard, and supported. My advocacy began at age 12 after moving across the world and has been featured on FOX, CBS, CNN, and The Seattle Times. I serve as a youth mental health advisor to national organizations. My name is Molly Hakkarainen (she/her), and I am a senior at Woodinville High School. I joined the Student Advisory Board because I want to be an active part of my community and help share student voices with the district. Outside of the Board, I serve as president of the WHS Journalism Club, swim on my school team, and play tennis. I enjoy reading about fashion, spending time with friends, and skiing whenever I can. Through this role, I hope to gain leadership experience and help make positive changes for students. Next year, I plan to study Biology.

Hi! I’m Jadie, and I’m honored to be a part of the Superintendent Student Advisory Board this year. I joined the Advisory Board in order to learn more about our district from an administrative level, and to use my voice to advocate for my classmates and community. Outside of the Advisory Board, I am also involved with Northshore’s Racial and Educational Justice department, and I am currently serving as the 2025-2026 Kenmore Youth Poet Laureate.

Hi! I chose to serve on the Student Advisory Board to share the opinions of my peers and advisors, and to learn more about how our district functions and why decisions are made. I’m passionate about advocacy and enjoy addressing problems in our community, which is why I’m also involved with our Student Justice Collective. I love art and enjoy exploring different mediums, with ceramics becoming my favorite form of self-expression. I also enjoy reading—two of my favorites are All the Bright Places and Wuthering Heights. In school, I run track, with shot put, 300-meter hurdles, and the 200-meter dash as my favorite events.

Hi, I’m John, and I’m excited to serve on the Student Advisory Board this year. Growing up with a mom who’s a teacher sparked my interest in education, and I’m honored to contribute feedback from a student perspective. I love learning, especially STEM classes, with math as a favorite. Outside of class, I play basketball and tennis at Woodinville High School and serve as president of the Coding Club. I enjoy coding, photography, video games, and Magic: The Gathering. Next year, I plan to major in computer science while exploring interdisciplinary courses in college.

Hi! My name is Arya Trivedi, and I am a senior at Bothell High School. I joined the Superintendent Student Advisory Board to ensure my classmates’ voices are heard and that any issues they face can be addressed. My goal is to help make school a welcoming and comfortable place for everyone. I am active in my community through playing softball on both my school and club teams, KB Fastpitch, and as a member of the National Honor Society, where I enjoy volunteering. After high school, I plan to attend a four-year university and pursue a career in medicine.
