Dear Northshore Staff, Families, and Students:
You are invited to the next Conversations with the Board, an opportunity to have a two-way dialogue with your school board directors about important district topics. The event will take place on Monday, May 18 at 6 p.m. at Woodin Elementary. Please note that the location has changed since the original invitation was sent. If you plan to attend, please make note of the new location, Woodin Elementary.
At this Conversations with the Board, we will share information about Northshore’s current and projected enrollment, along with shifts in student demographics and the factors influencing these trends. Spanish interpretation will be available.
Background: Northshore partners with a professional demographer to forecast enrollment and demographic changes. This work informs the Enrollment Demographics Task Force (EDTF), a long-standing group of parents, teachers, principals, and district staff, who review trends such as housing development, birth rates, population changes, district programs, and facility use. The EDTF then provides recommendations to the School Board and district leadership.
Community members are invited to learn more about this work and how it helps guide our future planning.
We look forward to seeing you on May 18.
Northshore School Board
