Frank Love Elementary inclusive playground installation planned for summer 2024

Frank Love Elementary inclusive playground installation planned for summer 2024

After school ends in June, the current playground at Frank Love Elementary will be removed to make space for a new, fully inclusive playground, funded by the voter-approved 2022 Capital Bond.

The new installation will have ground-level play activities, ramps, and other features that are available to each and every student to experience. The finalized design includes a large play structure, bridges, slides, climbing structures, spinners, swings, and more. Planning began in 2022, and students, staff, and families provided input about which features to include.

We expect the installation will take all summer and possibly into the start of next school year. While we hope it will be complete prior to the beginning of the 2024-25 school year, we are developing plans for alternative playground activities, as construction timelines can be delayed due to a number of factors. Please be aware that the area will be fenced off and unavailable during the summer months. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to having a safe and accessible playground in the near future.
