Advisory Committees and Work Teams

We value the perspective and collaborative input we receive from our staff, students, and community in the best interests of all children. This community of teachers, parents, students, staff and community members provides insight and teamwork to ensure our schools are a community effort.  As we deploy technology services and hardware for use in teaching and learning, it is important to include the voices of our stakeholders.

The Technology Advisory Committee is the largest technology-related committee, making recommendations for the projects and initiatives in our 4-year levy cycles.  The TAC analyzes and studies a variety of data, information and research regarding the district’s technology needs and how technology, specifically within instructional areas, can further the district’s mission to provide a world-class education for all Northshore students. These voluntary positions serve terms in alignment with NSD’s historical four-year bond/levy cycle.

The Instructional Technology Leadership Committee identifies, defines, prioritizes, and selects instructional technology integration projects to address needs that are supportive of district strategic objectives, performance measures, and instructional priorities.  Technology may include, but not be limited to, software and hardware such as computing devices, instructional presentation technologies, phones, productivity software, online grading and report card system(s), web pages for staff, schools and departments, online IEP systems, student learning technology, and other forms that have not yet been developed or identified that address these needs.  Technology that is unrelated to instruction, such as District administrative software, shall not be part of the committee’s jurisdiction.
