Elementary NVP Update: Vision and Hearing Screening, Elementary Materials and more

Reminder Vision and Hearing Screening

Vision and Hearing Screening for Northshore Virtual Program students in grades Kindergarten, 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7 will be on Nov. 3 from 2:15 - 4:15 p.m. at Innovation Lab High School. If you would like to exempt your child from either of these health screenings, please contact Shelly Sehmel, District Screening Team Lead at ssehmel@nsd.org.

Elementary Materials Pick-Up

If you were unable to attend one of our elementary pick-up events to receive your student’s Edgenuity workbooks, you can come to the NVP office located at Innovation Lab High School between 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. When you arrive, please call 425-408-6117 and provide your student’s grade, name and teacher. We will gather the items and bring them to the front entrance (double glass doors on the west side of the building).

Required Forms Reminder

Annually the District provides parents/guardians with notification of forms that must be acknowledged, including:

  • WA State Attendance Letter
  • Rights and Responsibilities Handbook
  • Weapons Letter
  • Student Housing Questionnaire

Thank you to those who have acknowledged the required forms. For those who haven’t yet completed the forms, the deadline is Friday, Oct. 29. We recommend families use a laptop or desktop computer to complete the forms, when possible. A mobile device can also be used to complete the process, providing you use your device's web browser.

If you have not yet acknowledged the forms, we ask that you login to ParentVUE today to view them. If you have never logged into ParentVUE, you will find instructions on how to do so when you click the link above. Families with elementary students are encouraged to review the handbook together in ParentVUE with their students.

Update your Contact Information

We encourage families to take a few minutes to check their contact information, including phone numbers and email addresses. Schools use parent and guardian email addresses to create school mailing lists. The District also uses email as a tool for sharing important, and sometimes urgent, information with families. Automated phone calls are sent to families with safety and emergency messages.

Parents can check their contact information in ParentVUE. Please contact your nvp@nsd.org if you need help in accessing ParentVUE or if there are updates to your contact information.
