Gearing Up for 2020-21: Schoology Communications and Free Meals

Together, we are about to launch a new school year in a way that we've never done it before. Like you, we have all been processing a great deal of new information to prepare for a successful beginning of Northshore Learns 3.0. We know you are receiving a hefty amount of communications, and we ask for your patience. The reason is simple. We are excited to see your students bright and early tomorrow, and know they need this important information. *Please be sure your student has seen their message from Dr. Reid!

Schoology Communications

Many families and teachers have already fully transitioned to Schoology and the single sign-on tool, Clever. Others are still working on their profiles and information. Therefore, to make sure all students and families are receiving important messages for a successful start, you may receive messages via both email and Schoology. If you have not moved over to Schoology and Clever, we encourage you to go to as soon as possible to complete your students profile and your own so your student is prepared for tomorrow.

Our goal is that everyone will have fully transitioned to Schoology and Clever by the end of our Community-Building Days. Once we've reached that goal, most school-based communications will occur there. Until then, we appreciate your patience.

Free Meals

Continuing to provide access to nutrition has been a priority in Northshore throughout the pandemic. Due to the USDA extending a waiver through Dec. 31, 2020, the District is now able to offer free meals to all children ages 18 and younger.

Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 9, daily meals and 7-day meal packs will be available for pick up at numerous locations across the District. All meals, both daily and weekly, must be pre-ordered on our District website.

  • Daily meals will include breakfast and lunch, along with 16 ounces of milk. The order window time will be 2:00 - 11:59 p.m. the day prior to meal pick-up. The first order window for daily meals will open Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 2 p.m. Please know that orders placed for Friday pick up, will receive meals for the weekend too.
  • The 7-day meal packs will include breakfast and lunch for an entire week, including one gallon of milk. The order window will open at 2 p.m. every Wednesday and close at 2 p.m. every Thursday. The first order window for 7-day meal packs will open Sept. 2. Pick up for these meals will be on Wednesday the following week.

Please visit our District website for more information on how to place your order, as well as times and locations for meal pick-up.

We look forward to an exciting year with you.
