The Northshore School District is continually making improvements and investing in safety measures through the generous support of our voter-approved 2018 Capital Bond. One example of this work is the recent completion of the SafeVisitor pilot in six of our schools and the decision to roll it out districtwide. SafeVisitor is a web-based program to streamline and improve security. It combines our background check process for volunteers with our check-in process for both visitors and volunteers in our buildings. When a guest arrives in the main office, the staff can provide the guest with an expiring visitor sticker that includes the person’s name and photo printed immediately in the office. For volunteers, the staff can also confirm all necessary requirements have been met. We look forward to expanding this opportunity during the 2022-23 school year.
