The Northshore School District Special Education Department looks forward to hosting an informational evening for students and families in Special Education to learn about community resources, agencies, and opportunities on Thursday, May 23 from 5:30-8 p.m. on Zoom (https://nsd.zoom.us/j/9208449458). No registration required – please join us if you can. However, if you need translation services, please email Deepika Uliyar (duliyar@nsd.org) and let her know what language is needed by Friday, May 17.
We're inviting several agencies including Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA), Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), guardianship resources, Alyssa Burnett Center, Wranglers Inclusion, and college programs that support students with disabilities.
We know and value the importance of family perspectives, so we will have a few Northshore families who have navigated the systems share their experiences.
Please feel free to share this information with other families who may be interested.
