Reminder: Check the Calendar for November Holidays, Elementary Conferences, Half Day

November is a very busy month in regards to our school calendar. We have multiple non-school days and schedule adjustments that affect Wednesday early release days for all grades, elementary schools conferences days and special release times, and schedule changes for our early childhood programs. Please take a moment to review our important schedule changes for November.

No School Days for All Students and Staff

• Monday, Nov. 11: Veterans Day (observed)
• Thursday, Nov. 28: Thanksgiving Day
• Friday, Nov. 29: Native American Heritage Day

Wednesday Early Release Days

• Wednesday, Nov. 6: All Grades
• Wednesday, Nov. 13: All Grades
• Wednesday, Nov. 20: All Grades

All grades will release 90 minutes early, at the typical Wednesday Early Release times. 

Half Day of School

All schools will dismiss at their school’s Half-Day Release time on Wednesday, Nov. 27. Schedules to district programs are also affected – please see the Start and Dismissal Times webpage for details. 

Elementary Conference Days

• Tuesday, Nov. 19
• Thursday, Nov. 21
• Friday, Nov. 22
• Monday, Nov. 25
• Tuesday, Nov. 26

Northshore elementary schools have special bell times on elementary conference days. Visit our Start & Dismissal Times website to find your school’s schedule, and remember to arrive early to the bus stop to pick up your student, especially families of kindergartners who cannot be released without a parent or guardian present. District Programs

Adults Transitioning to Independence (ATI), Adults Transition Pathways (ATP), and Early Childhood (preschool) Programs are currently partial-day programs held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (no school on Wednesdays). In addition to the no school days listed below, these programs may have unique schedules during the month of November, which will be communicated to enrolled families directly. The following changes identify the dates and programs affected for Ready Start located at Sorenson and Woodmoor, Phonology located at Woodmoor, Head Start located at Arrowhead and Woodmoor, ATP, and ATI:

• Tuesday, Nov. 19: No School for Ready Start and Phonology
• Wednesday, Nov. 20: No School for Ready Start, Phonology, Head Start, ATI, ATP
• Thursday, Nov. 21: No School for Ready Start and Phonology
• Friday, Nov. 22: No School for Ready Start, Phonology, Head Start, ATI, ATP
• Monday, Nov: 25: No School for Ready Start, Phonology, Head Start, ATI, ATP
• Tuesday, Nov. 26: No School for Ready Start, Phonology, Head Start, ATI, ATP
• Wednesday, Nov. 27: No School for Ready Start, Phonology, Head Start, ATI, ATP

Onsite Child Care during Elementary Conference Days

Onsite child care programs will follow normal before-school hours on elementary conference days. After-school child care hours will follow the elementary conference early dismissal times for your school. If you have any questions about onsite child care, please contact your provider directly.
