Northshore Celebrates its 2025-26 Retirees

Congratulations to the 52 Northshore staff members who have retired or are planning to soon retire from the Northshore School District. These individuals have served Northshore schools and students for a total of approximately 1,140 years. Congratulations on the significant impact you have made to the students and families of our district!

On May 28, retirees gathered together to celebrate their years of service and retirement during a district recognition event.

During the event, many of the retirees, their colleagues, and school leaders shared messages and memories from their years of service.

“Whether I was teaching Braille, providing support to low vision students, or creating adapted learning materials, each moment was meaningful and rewarding!” said Braille Transcriber Marla Housekeeper. Housekeeper spent 24 years supporting Northshore students and families.

“My most special memories are those of working with students that were neuro divergent and/or had special challenges academically or behaviorally,” said Patricia Mossing, a Frank Love Elementary teacher. “ It has always been a personal challenge to differentiate learning and even the playing field. I have loved being a teacher and am most fortunate to have worked for such a great organization.”

“A significant experience for me is that I had the opportunity to create the new library when North Creek opened,” said Teresa Jensen, teacher-librarian at North Creek High School. “Imagine a brand-new library full of brand-new books just waiting for students to check them out. That is one of the many highlights of working for Northshore.”
