Northshore Celebrates its 2024-25 Retirees

Northshore Celebrates its 2024-25 Retirees

Congratulations to the 59 Northshore staff members who have retired or are planning to soon retire from the Northshore School District. These individuals have collectively served schools and students for approximately 1,354 years. Congratulations on the significant impact you have made to the students and families of our district!

On May 29, retirees gathered together to celebrate their years of service and retirement during a district recognition event.

During the event, many of the retirees, their colleagues, and school leaders shared messages and memories from their years of service.

“My biggest joy is when I see former students come back to visit and see how well they are doing,” said Inglemoor High School teacher and coach David Allemeier. Allemeier spent 46 years teaching.

“Before each school year I made each student on my incoming class list a wood name plaque,” said Crystal Springs Elementary teacher Matthew Wright, who taught for 34 years. “I liked making these before they came to my room so they would see their name hanging on the wall the first day. It would stay on the wall all year, and then I would give it to them on the last day of school. So many students, sometimes 20 years after being in my room, would tell me they still have the wood name tag. Over my career I routed about 800 of these for my students.”

“Definitely my favorite memory here has been the people I've worked with!” said Ann Rolf, Accounting Manager, with 23 years supporting schools and 7 years in Northshore. “Such a great group of people who care about their work, as well as one another!”

Superintendent Michael Tolley, himself a retiree this year, shared his appreciation for his fellow retirees.

“Your dedication and commitment will be felt for years and years to come, and you are deeply appreciated,” Tolley said. “Regardless of your role in Northshore, your contributions to our school district have made a difference. Know that you will always have a special place in the Northshore family.”
