Progress is being made at North Creek High School’s campus! To accommodate school needs, modular classrooms were installed at the end of October and are tentatively scheduled for use after Winter Break. These additional 4 classrooms (1 science and 3 general) were built offsite and placed on a foundation poured and cured in October. Next up in the project is the electrical and mechanical installation in November.
The SAGE (Smart Academic Green Environment) modular classrooms combine the latest thinking in healthy learning environments with the best in green building practices. Using environmentally safe building materials, the structures have improved HVAC that incorporate energy recovery ventilation for air quality, noise reduction, and more. This project was funded by impact fees from new construction and development in the area. A similar project is taking place at Bothell High School this school year, with funding contributed by the 2022 Capital Bond.
