Many Opportunities to Volunteer: Consider Joining a Committee or Task Force

The Northshore School District invites our families, secondary students, and community members to get involved in supporting our schools and students in a number of different ways. One way is to participate in a districtwide committee or task force, and several committees are now accepting applications to fill vacant roles. If you have a passion for supporting students and schools across the entire district, we invite you to apply for any of the below opportunities.

More information about these options are described at the bottom of this message. The links provided include detailed information about the purpose of the committee or task force, commitment required, and application process.

The following volunteer opportunities are currently accepting applications:

  • Enrollment Demographic Task Force (EDTF) – applications due Sept. 28
  • Financial Advisory Committee – applications due Sept. 26
  • Nutrition & Fitness Advisory Committee – applications due Sept. 24
  • Racial and Educational Justice Committee – applications due Sept. 26

The following volunteer opportunities will accept applications soon, with more information shared in the future:

  • Comprehensive Special Education Plan Advisory

  • Special Education Student Advisory
  • Student Social Media Consortium

If volunteering on a committee does not interest you, but you would like to volunteer in one of our schools or as a field trip chaperone, please review our Become a Volunteer website. Our schools have many volunteer opportunities, and all school volunteers interacting with students must follow district protocol for clearance in advance.
