Law Enforcement Training at North Creek High School on Wednesday, July 18

Please be aware that Snohomish County Deputies, the regional SWAT team and District security staff will be in and around North Creek High School conducting intensive emergency training on Wednesday, July 18. Officers are expected to arrive at approximately 2 p.m., and the actual exercises will likely occur between 4 and 9:00 p.m.

It is the responsibility of our regional SWAT and other first responders to be prepared to respond to any critical incident. The July 18 exercises will enable them to become well versed in our campus jurisdiction and familiarize themselves with the layout of campus buildings. The scenarios will also enhance our District’s awareness and preparedness.

These exercises will pose no physical danger. At this time, the activity will take place in and around buildings 1 and 2. District and law enforcement officials are working to minimize any impact on regularly scheduled activities on campus.

There will be approximately 20 police vehicles, and officers will carry rifles and training side arms that are blue in color. The weapons used in this simulation will not produce loud noises.

Snohomish County officers and our District safety and security staff will place training signage around the perimeter of the campus.

This exercise is part of the District’s commitment to the safety and security of our students, staff, visitors and buildings. We ask for your patience and understanding during this time.

If you have any questions about this training, please contact Henry Simon, Director of Safety & Security at 425-408-7745
