July Construction Update: Ruby Bridges Elementary
Entrance of Ruby Bridges Elementary

Ruby Bridges Elementary continues to move toward completion. The team is working through the project’s punch list, including paint touch ups and finishing carpentry. Final inspections for plumbing are expected to be completed by the end of the month and commissioning for the HVAC system is ongoing.

Additionally, the team is in the process of submitting built drawings to the county, as well as other close out items. Furniture and equipment deliveries are being scheduled for the September opening.

During July, the Ruby Bridges river otters was announced as the school’s mascot. School colors are still being selected.

In August, the school is expected to receive a certificate of occupancy.

This project was made possible by the generous support of Northshore voters, who approved the 2018 bond.
