As we wrap up the 2020-21 school year, we want to share important information about a number of summer resources and reminders for families.
Free Meals Program
Weekly Meal Packs:
Free weekly meals will continue to be available through the summer months for all children ages 1 - 18 years:
- Weekly meal packs will be available for pickup on Wednesday afternoons
- The first pickup date is June 30. Orders for this pick up date must be received by end of day June 24.
- All meal packs must be ordered online Wednesday and Thursday the week prior to the pickup date.
- There are 16 pick up locations available, along with home delivery if needed
- Weekly meal packs will include seven breakfasts and seven lunches. When families pick up the meal packs they will receive one grocery bag and a gallon of milk per order.
- The last weekly meal pack pickup date is Aug. 18 and families will receive a two-week meal pack on this date, which will include a box, a grocery bag and two gallons of milk per order.
Summer Device Exchange
All District-issued computing devices, cables and hotspots need to be returned so we can update them for the next school year. When returning students return their device, they can exchange it on the spot for an updated one to have available for summer enrichment and learning opportunities when appropriate. We are asking families to complete this form so we can have a device ready for your student during the exchange scheduled by their school. If your student did not have a District-issued device for this school year or they’ve already returned their device, and they need one for summer learning, they can still receive one by completing this form. Thanks to voter support of the 2018 Technology Levy, Northshore is able to continue providing devices to our students through the summer months.
Summer Learning Resources
Summer provides an opportunity for students to grow their knowledge in unique ways. We have compiled a range of Summer Learning Resources to support ongoing learning throughout the summer. The resources support learning recovery and opportunities for students to review and preview key learning topics. You can also learn more about our ongoing learning recovery focus by reading our Student Academic and Well-Being Recovery Plan.
Technology Survey on Schoology and Seesaw
The District is seeking feedback on experiences with our new Learning Management System to improve our technology support for families and students. If you are a parent or guardian, or other adult who monitored your student’s learning through Schoology or Seesaw, please take a moment to complete this short survey to share your thoughts and suggestions related to your use of the systems. We want to hear from students too! Students who would like to provide feedback about Schoology should complete this short survey.
Registration for Northshore Virtual Program
The Northshore Virtual Program is a K-12 program for families who choose to stay 100% remote for all or part of the 2021-22 school year due to health and safety concerns. The program will provide an online learning format for students that is coordinated by Northshore School District educators. If your family is interested in this program, please complete a registration form as soon as possible for planning purposes. During COVID-19, our community continues to come together to provide assistance to families and community members in need.
