The Northshore School District is pleased to share two opportunities for our community to help shape the District through work on different task forces beginning in the 2024-25 school year:
- Enrollment Demographics Task Force
- Capital Bond Planning Task Force
We invite you to review the information and if interested, submit an application prior to the Aug. 31 deadline for the task force in which you are interested.
Enrollment Demographics Task Force
Northshore seeks parents/guardians and community members to apply for vacant positions on the Enrollment Demographics Task Force (EDTF). There is also an opportunity for students to participate. EDTF studies demographic trends in the Northshore service area and determines the probable impact on schools and the projected enrollment from year to year, as well as the District's ability to offer equitable programs and services to all students in all schools. The work is supported by a professional demographer and an urban planner, and these voluntary positions serve terms of three years.
To learn more, visit the Enrollment Demographics Task Force webpage. To be considered for the task force, please complete the application by Aug. 31.
Capital Bond Planning Task Force
Northshore currently seeks high school students, parents/guardians, staff, and community members who would like to apply for the District’s Capital Bond Planning Task Force (CBPTF). The CBPTF analyzes and studies a variety of data and information regarding the District’s capital facility needs to determine a set of recommendations made to the School Board for capital infrastructure projects for referral to voters. These voluntary positions serve terms in alignment with Northshore’s historical four-year bond/levy cycle.
