Half-day Schedules for Wednesday, Nov. 22 Announced

Dismissal times for the half-day on Wednesday, Nov. 22 is now available on the District’s Start and Dismissal Times webpage. The half-day schedule is different from the dismissal times for Wednesday Early Releases and for elementary conferences. Please check the website and watch for reminders from your school for more details.

Please keep in mind, the month of November includes a number of changes from normal routines for our school calendar. We have multiple non-school days and schedule adjustments that affect elementary schools and early learning programs in particular. Please take a moment to review our important schedule changes for November.

No School Days for All Students and Staff

• Friday, Nov. 10: Veterans Day (observed)
• Thursday, Nov. 23: Thanksgiving Day
• Friday, Nov. 24: Native American Heritage Day

Wednesday Early Release Days

• Wednesday, Nov. 1: All Grades
• Wednesday, Nov. 8: All Grades
• Wednesday, Nov. 15: All Grades
• Wednesday, Nov. 29: All Grades

All grades will release 90 minutes early, at the typical Wednesday Early Release times. 

Half Day of School

All schools will dismiss at their school’s Half-Day Release time on Wednesday, Nov. 22. Schedules to district programs are also affected – please see the Start and Dismissal Times webpage for details. 

Elementary Conference Days

• Tuesday, Nov. 14
• Thursday, Nov. 16
• Friday, Nov. 17
• Monday, Nov. 20
• Tuesday, Nov. 21

Northshore elementary schools have special bell times on elementary conference days. Visit our Start & Dismissal Times website to find your school’s schedule, and remember to arrive early to the bus stop to pick up your student, especially families of kindergartners who cannot be released without a parent or guardian present. Please contact your school directly if you have questions about conferences.

District Early Learning Programs - Ready Start, Phonology, and Head Start

Early Learning Programs are currently partial-day programs held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (no school on Wednesdays). The following changes apply to Ready Start located at Sorenson and Woodmoor and Phonology located at Woodmoor:

• Tuesday, Nov. 14: No School
• Thursday, Nov. 16: No School
• Friday, Nov. 17: No School
• Monday, Nov: 20: No School
• Tuesday, Nov. 21: No School

The following changes apply to Head Start located at Kenmore Elementary and Woodmoor:

• Friday, Nov. 17: No School
• Monday, Nov: 20: No School
• Tuesday, Nov. 21: No School

Onsite Child Care during Elementary Conference Days

Onsite child care programs will follow normal before-school hours on elementary conference days. After-school child care hours will follow the elementary conference early dismissal times for your school. If you have any questions about onsite child care, please contact your provider directly.
