Free Preschool: Now Enrolling for the 2024-25 School Year

Northshore School District’s Early Childhood Education Programs are now enrolling eligible children, ages 3-5, for free preschool. The preschool years are among the most critical in a child's life to influence learning. The Northshore School District is committed to providing the support that our youngest students need to prepare them to succeed in school.

Head Start and Ready Start Programs provide free services and support to income eligible children and their families.

  • Head Start is a federally funded comprehensive early learning program located at Arrowhead and Woodmoor Elementary, providing services to eligible children and their families.
  • Ready Start is a district-funded comprehensive early learning program located at Sorenson Early Childhood Center and Woodmoor Elementary.

Eligibility to the programs is determined by the child's age and family income. Families can find out if they are eligible by calling one of Northshore’s Family Support Specialists listed below or by visiting the District's Early Childhood programs website.
