December Construction Update: Ruby Bridges Elementary

Ruby Bridges Elementary’s project team continues to work through the final punch list items. During winter break the necessary seismic bracing adjustment that is isolated to the school’s mezzanine area on the third floor will be completed. Following this work, it is anticipated that the school will receive the certificate of occupancy.

The hydraulic lift installation at the loading dock, which was expected to also be completed during winter break, has been delayed because of supply chain challenges due to COVID-19. The lift is now expected to arrive at the end of January or early February. Once it is delivered, the installation will take about one day, which will likely be scheduled on a weekend.

This project was made possible by the generous support of Northshore voters, who approved the 2018 bond.
