Bothell High, Woodinville High Robotics Teams Continue to Regionals

On March 1-2, the robotics teams from Woodinville High School and Bothell High School competed against 33 other schools in this year’s FIRST Robotics Competition Challenge. Both teams delivered outstanding performances, proudly representing the Northshore School District.

After 12 intense qualification matches, the final rankings were set for playoffs. Woodinville High School's team secured an impressive 2nd place, while Bothell High School, in its rookie season, finished 15th. As a top seed, Woodinville had the honor of captaining an alliance by selecting two other teams for the playoffs, while Bothell was picked by the 8th-seeded alliance captain. Woodinville fought all the way to the finals, ultimately earning a 2nd place finish overall!

The weekend was filled with cheers, teamwork, and incredible achievements. Both teams took home prestigious awards recognizing their excellence:

Bothell High School won the Rookie All-Star Award, an incredible honor that automatically qualifies them for the Regional Championship in Cheney the first weekend of April!
Woodinville High School received the Engineering Creativity Award and earned enough points to qualify for Regionals in Spokane.
Both teams will compete at Regionals with their sights set on earning a coveted spot at the FIRST World Championship in Houston.

As of March 11, the standings were:

Woodinville ranks 10th overall in the Washington/Oregon region and an impressive 76th worldwide. They are also ranked 5th in the PNW region in robot performance.
Bothell stands 34th overall out of 132 teams in Washington and Oregon—an incredible feat for a first-year team!
