We are excited to announce that groundbreaking ceremonies for six of our school construction projects will take place at the end of September and early October. These construction projects are possible due to the generous support of Northshore voters, who approved the 2022 Capital Bond. Learn more about each construction project funded by the 2022 Bond.
The events take place, rain or shine:
- Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 5 p.m. at Fernwood Elementary
- Thursday, Sept. 26 at 5 p.m. at Sorenson Early Childhood Center and Westhill Elementary
- Monday, Sept. 30 at 5 p.m. at Crystal Springs Elementary
- Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 5 p.m. at Kenmore Elementary
- Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 5 p.m. at Woodin Elementary
- Thursday, Oct. 10 at 5 p.m. at Maywood Hills Elementary
It has taken approximately two years to work through the stages of project development, schematic design, design development, and construction documents and permitting, but we are officially under construction and eager to gather in celebration of this milestone. Our students, families, staff, neighbors, and dignitaries are invited to join us at the event, which will feature remarks from representatives of the school and district. The architect and construction team will also be available to share details and answer questions about the project.
RSVP using this form if you would like to request an accommodation or interpretation at least one week prior to your requested event date. As a reminder, this is an active construction site, so we request no shorts or dresses and no sandals or open-toed shoes. We also encourage carpooling or walking to the school if possible, due to limited parking.
