The 2022 Capital Bond school growth projects that will take place at eight schools continue to progress. The timeline for each project’s design work and community engagement varies but all have builders and/or architectural firms selected and will begin the design phase in late winter/spring 2023. See updates below for four of the schools.
School Expansion Projects at Crystal Springs, Fernwood, and Woodin Elementaries and Sorenson Early Childhood Center
Northshore’s progressive design-build teams for these projects includes Abbott Construction and NAC Architects. The District will host community engagement sessions for families and neighbors of all four schools virtually on Zoom and in-person. These sessions will be an opportunity to learn about the expansion projects at the four schools and meet the Design-Build team, review project schedules and key dates for community input and in-person open houses, review project scopes and goals, and ask questions and engage with the architect and contractor from the design-build team. While each school expansion project will be different and specific to the school’s needs, this initial opportunity to learn more will cover the same information for each school.

Information about the school modernization and phased replacement projects at Kenmore Elementary, Maywood Hills Elementary, Inglemoor High School, and Leota Middle School will be posted soon at nsd.org. These projects, and the four expansion projects listed above, were made possible due to the generous support of Northshore voters, who approved the 2022 Capital Bond.
