Family Partnership Advisory Committee
The advisory team serves as a group that studies, supports and makes a recommendation on the future plans for Northshore Family Partnership—a program specifically designed to serve homeschool families in our community. This advisory committee involves a two-year commitment of attending monthly advisory meetings.
Committee Composition
We seek varied representation on the advisory committee.
- 6 District Staff (principal, teachers, administrators, classified)
- 6 NFP Parents (2-year term)
Members
Background and experience that will be helpful for participation on the NSD Family Partnership Advisory Committee includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Willing to contribute positively to discussions and study possibilities
- Hold a global perspective on the range of possibilities for meeting the needs of the program, obtaining district goals and guidelines, and meeting state expectations
- Able to honor varied points of view, compromise and build consensus
- Provide support to program goals, recommendations, and implementation
Expectations
This advisory committee involves a two-year commitment of attending monthly advisory meetings from October-May. Committee members should:
- Be willing to contribute positively to discussions and study possibilities
- Hold a global perspective on the range of possibilities for meeting the needs of the program, obtaining district goals and guidelines, and meeting state expectations
- Be able to honor varied points of view, compromise and build consensus
- Provide support to program goals, recommendations, and implementation
Meetings
All committee meetings will be held at Bear Creek Elementary. Meeting dates are determined by the committee.
