Enrollment Demographics Task Force
In 2001, the School Board directed the creation of a task force to evaluate enrollment across the district and provide the Board with recommendations. The Enrollment Demographics Task Force (EDTF), created under School Board Policy 9400, studies demographics trends in the Northshore School District and determines these trends' likely impact on schools. Additionally, the EDTF studies the size of the student body from year to year and assesses the district's ability to offer equitable programs and services to all students in all schools.
Task Force Responsibility
To provide continuous review and planning to make the most efficient use of existing sites and maximize educational opportunities for all students.
Meeting Schedule
The task force typically meets once a month from October to April, with the option for additional meetings through June if necessary. Meetings are held virtually from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
All upcoming meetings will be posted on the Timeline.
Task force meetings are open to the public. Visitors are welcome to attend, and their interest in the process and roles as observers are appreciated. Please read the Visitor Protocol guidelines prior to attending. The EDTF is a working task force whose recommendations are given to the School Board, cabinet or others to inform decisions involving the work of the school district.
Task Force Membership
There are 14 people on the EDTF, plus ex-officio members and two consultants. Each of the district's four high school feeder patterns—Bothell, Woodinville, Inglemoor and North Creek— are represented. The parent/community member positions are voluntary, appointed by the Board of Directors and last for up to three years.
