September 12 and 19, 2022: A Response for Proposal (RFP) was distributed to solicit interest from Superintendent Search Firms. The selected firm will lead a national search for Northshore’s next superintendent including the design and implementation of broad and targeted stakeholder engagement.
October 3, 2022: Initial RFPs are received by Northshore School Board.
October 5, 2022: The School Board reviewed the number of submissions and discussed next steps in search firm selection. The special School Board session and deliberations can be viewed on the District’s YouTube channel.
October 10, 2022: At the regular Board Meeting, the School Board voted to extend the submittal deadline. The Board Meeting can be viewed on the District’s YouTube channel.
October 28, 2022: Revised deadline for RFP submission.
November 1, 2022: The School Board reviewed the RFP submissions and discussed next steps in the search firm selection process.
November 8, 2022: Interviews for potential search firms were conducted by the School Board.
The School Board selected GR Recruiting (https://www.grrecruiting.com) to design and conduct a comprehensive, national search for the next Northshore School District Superintendent.
Beginning November 21, 2022: Broad, inclusive stakeholder engagement to solicit the perspectives and opinions of staff, families, students, and the broader community on the qualities and experiences needed in the next Northshore superintendent was initiated.
December 15, 2022: Board meeting to finalize the Superintendent profile for promotional materials in response to the community survey.
December 16, 2022 - February 5, 2023: Promotion and outreach to qualified candidates.
January 2023: GR recruiting has provided the School Board with a summary of all engagement meeting feedback.
February 6, 2023: Applications are due
February 21, 2023: The School Board will meet to determine the first round of candidates.
February 28 - March 2, 2023: Top candidate interviews
March 13 -17, 2023: Final candidate interviews and Northshore School District site visits
Mid-March, 2023: School Board deliberations and selection of the final superintendent candidate.
Mid-March, 2023: Public announcement of the next superintendent.
Contract negotiated and executed with the next superintendent for the school year 2023-24 and beyond.
