It is important to keep consistency for your student during these challenging times. We recommend creating a daily routine for your student. The schedule can be flexible to meet the needs of your family. The resources below may be helpful to incorporate into a daily routine.

For as long as schools are closed, Audible is available. Kids everywhere can instantly stream an incredible collection of stories, including titles across six different languages, that will help them continue dreaming, learning, and just being kids.

Through a free membership to King County Public Library you can access Tumblebooks, a digital library that reads books aloud. While not a substitute for in-person reading, it can be a fun activity!

We encourage students of all ages to create an activity log to track their daily activity. Students can choose an activity they find enjoyable (e.g. walk, jog, jumping-jacks etc.). Depending on age, students benefit from different amounts of activities, but at least 30 minutes a day is a good starting point.

Starfall.com® opened in September 2002 as a public service to teach children to read. Since then it has expanded to include language arts and mathematics for preschool, kindergarten, first grade, second grade, and third grade.

The Virtual Calming Room is a place for students and families to find tools and strategies for managing emotions and feelings. Northshore School Counselors want you to know they are here to support you! They also want you to know that your feelings are valid, no matter what they are. You might feel scared, confused, overwhelmed, angry, alone, grateful, or completely calm. Your feelings are normal; the situation is not.  Don't forget to take care of yourself and the ones you love.
