Masking

Northshore School District lifted its mask requirements in March 2022 in alignment with changes to state policy. Masks continue to be optional for Northshore students and staff in most situations.

On April 3, 2023, Washington State Department of Health universal masking in healthcare, long-term care, and correctional facilities ended.  Northshore School District will continue to require students and staff presenting to the health room with COVID or flu like symptoms to mask for the duration of their health room visit.

While masking will remain optional in other settings, students or staff may choose to wear a mask. Northshore will continue to foster a climate of empathy and care for our community. We understand that there are different beliefs, opinions, reasons, and comfort levels about masking, it is important to be respectful of each other and personal choice.
