On Sept. 28 during a ceremony in Olympia, the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) awarded the 2025 State Teacher of the Year honor to Kim Broomer, a kindergarten teacher at Ruby Bridges Elementary.

The Safety Study Hall is a library of information and resources on several important health and safety issues for schools, students, and families/caregivers. Created by the Washington State Department of Health in partnership with the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction and other organizations, the Safety Study Hall is a place to start learning about prevention strategies related to substance use, and the safe storage of prescription/over-the-counter medication, firearms, and ammunition.

As of Saturday evening, November 23, all Northshore Schools and programs have power and internet access. Northshore support services and maintenance crews also spent the weekend clearing additional debris from school grounds and resetting systems. We are prepared for a safe return to school for all students and staff tomorrow, November 25.
Our District’s Support Services staff have been working closely with Snohomish Public Utilities and Puget Sound Energy to resolve widespread power outages across many of our schools. We are pleased to share that thanks to the hard work of our Public Utility Partners and many others, significant progress has been made. However, there are some schools that are still without power and will remain closed tomorrow, Friday November 22.
The decision to close or delay schools in response to snow and hazardous road conditions is made by the Superintendent as early as possible, typically by 5:30 a.m. Learn more about Northshore's process and communication during inclement weather.

Innovative, Creative, Critical Thinkers
Early Childhood
We offer a variety of Early Childhood Programs for children age three to five.
Athletics
We offer 11 sports in middle school and 17 in high school. Most elementary schools offer sports as well.
Adult Transition Program
Students prepare for life after school. Self-advocacy, work readiness, social emotional skills, and IEP goals are incorporated into daily activities.
