 After 23 years as a professional business marketer, working in five different industries and with four different corporations, I have the honor of entering my 15th year of teaching marketing and business at Inglemoor High School.
For the 2012-13 school year I’ll be teaching three different classes: Marketing (for students new to marketing and business), IB Business & Management SL (for students who have taken marketing or are full IB students), and Retail Operations (generally reserved for 3rd year marketing or IB Business students).
The exciting part for all my students is the opportunity to join DECA and be a part of a winning tradition. Inglemoor DECA has earnded 2nd Place in the Nation last year and have earned 1st Place five times in the past 14 years. DECA is the performance and competition side of all marketing classes (including IB and Retail). DECA offers students opportunities for scholarships, travel, recognition, leadership training, and competition. Also included is college credit through TECH Prep and possible college credit through IB Business & Marketing.
Academically over the years, I have earned two Bachelor Degrees, a Master of Science Degree, and have held both an Insurance and Real Estate license. When I’m not busy with students and DECA I enjoy woodworking, camping, fly-fishing, reading, consulting for businesses, and spending time with my family. This year the classroom will have laptop computers for students to use in class. This will give me more time to work one-on-one with students producing great work.
