From Your PTA Presidents . . . Dear Families,
Well, here it
is only the third month of school and we're
running out of catchy phrases to start our letters!! Or should we say, "We can't believe it's already the
third month of school!" Where does
the time go?? PTA held its first meeting of the year in mid- October and completed all business in a record time of 51 minutes! It was great to see so many new faces at the meeting, as well as the "old regulars". Thank you all for attending. Thank you, also, for joining PTA! Your support of PTA and all of its projects is greatly appreciated. Kenmore Elementary is lucky to have so many parents who are willing to do so much for our school community. Currently we have 134 members. Last year our group was awarded the Bronze Membership Award for increasing our membership from the previous year. Our goal this year is to achieve the Silver Level Award. You can help; there is still time to join PTA. Go to the school website, click on Kenmore PTA and follow the links to join.
PTA also hosted
its fourth annual auction, STARRY,
STARRY NIGHT during the month of October. What a fabulous evening!! The celebration, under the leadership of
Gretchen Young and
Aileen Hammar, was enjoyed by all of the
guests. What a great way to wrap
up our first annual
Giving Campaign! Overall, the
WORLD of WONDERS and
STARRY, STARRY NIGHT raised over
$28,000! Congratulations to everyone who worked
so hard to make this event so successful.
