Northshore School District seeks your feedback as it determines a weekly teacher instructional planning and collaboration schedule. A survey is available in English and Spanish between May 8 and 27. (more info)

VISITING WOODIN?

In the interest of the safety of all our students, staff and visitors, we must know who is on campus at all times. You may have noticed additional signs posted around campus to remind guests to sign in. All visiting parents, family members and volunteers to our school must sign IN and OUT in the office and wear a VOLUNTEER GUEST badge in a prominent location. Please return the badge when you are signing out. If you mistakenly take one home, that's ok, we know that can happen . . . and we'll welcome them back anytime!

If a Woodin staff or community member approaches you asking who you are, please know we are all working to ensure the safety of our students.

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten Registration for the 2013-2014 school year will be held from March 4th - March 27th from 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM. (Note: your child must be 5 years old on or before August 31st in order to be eligible for kindergarten).

What to Bring:

Proof of Residency (rental agreement, utility bill, etc...)
Birth Certificate or Official Hospital Certificate
Immunization Record
Home, Work and Cell numbers of parents/guardians
2 emergency contact names and numbers (other than parents/guardians)
Daycare Information
Name and phone numbers of child's physician and dentist

There will be two District Orientations: March 4th & March 6th, 7:00-8:00pm at the Northshore Performing Arts Center at Bothell High School. The bilingual orientation is scheduled for March 12th at the Woodmoor Elementary Library.

Math Expressions For Parents

Eduplace is a resource available to parents and families looking for additional math support for their student at home. Parents will find an eGlossary, Unit Overviews and letters, Math Background information and lots of great resources for students to use at home, including eGames and EManipulatives.

Type To Learn Available At Home

Type2Learn is now available for students to download at home and log in as they would at school to continue their progress toward keyboarding proficiency!

Here's how:

Download and install the TTL4 program to a home computer at http://ttl4.sunburst.com/ downloads (because of the size of the download, the program could take 20-25 minutes).
Once the program is downloaded, there are instructions on the website for installation on either a Windows or Macintosh computer.
Students login to TTL4, Type to Learn 4, using the same username and password that is used at school - an account code for the school will also be needed. Students can visit http://www.nsd.org/ttl4home to retrieve their school code.
