Class of 2013 WHS Registration
On Thursday, March 18, Woodinville High School counselors will be visiting Timbercrest Junior High English classes. During this visit, the registration process will be explained to the students, and they receive a course description book and course selection sheet. Students will also receive a diploma summary, which shows what they need to graduate. Students will be informed about graduation requirements and recommended courses of study at this time.
The WHS counselors will return to the English classes on Friday, March 26, to collect the students' course selection sheets. The course selection sheets must be completed and require a parent/guardian signature. If students have questions about the appropriate classes or graduation requirements, it is recommended that they ask their counselor before the day they are supposed to turn in their registration forms. Students will have the opportunity to ask WHS counselors questions when the registration materials are distributed and collected. WHS has a "No Schedule Change" policy, so once student registration forms are collected, the student will not be allowed to change their classes, so choose courses carefully!

Thank you for your continued support of Northshore students and schools
. Passage of the bond and renewal of the levies sustains critical local funding which enables us to continue providing an excellent education for our students in safe learning environments. These measures are vitally important, particularly as we face the prospect of further deep reductions in state funding.
We are proud of the consistently strong academic performance of our students and appreciate the generous support of our community. The Northshore community has an unrivaled history supporting quality public education, even in difficult times.
We firmly believe that strong schools equal a strong community. Thank you for investing in the future of our community and protecting our community's investment in your public schools!

H1N1 Influenza (Swine flu) Updates
Although the national vaccine supply is still limited, both King and Snohomish counties continue to
receive and distribute vaccine. Most doses are going to private health
care providers and hospitals. Both King and Snohomish counties are
providing a small weekly supply of vaccine to local pharmacies starting
Nov. 6th. A current list of health care providers and pharmacies who
have vaccine are available for
King County
and
Snohomish County
. Pharmacies will hold a special clinic or take appointments by
phone. Some locations are only vaccinating certain age groups. There
is administration fee that may be covered by some insurance plans. The
focus remains to vaccinate those identified as more at risk for flu
complications. Check these websites frequently as information and
availability continues to change. Families with children at risk for
flu complications, who have a regular medical provider, should contact
that provider about vaccine availability. Information is available
from the Washington State Department of Health on H1N1 flu illness in
children with chronic conditions and special health care needs. (A
download of that document can be found below under "Additional
Resources.") A special hotline is available in King County to assist
with questions or concerns in multiple languages. 1-877-903-5464.

Warm Weather Dress Code
We
need your help in making sure students make good choices regarding
proper school attire. Shorts and skirts cannot be shorter that finger
tips when arms are straight at sides. Modestly cut tops must
completely cover undergarments with straps at least 1 1/2 inch wide.
Pants must be worn at waist with no undergarments showing. Should
your child come to school dressed inappropriately, they will be given
clothing to wear from the lost and found. Thank you for your
assistance!

Supervision and Dress Code for JR. High Students Attending
Football & Other Sports Games
- Jr. High students attending high school sporting events need to follow the same dress code as High School students. Also, Junior High Students must be supervised by an adult (prefer parent) at the games. School Rules will apply for uncooperative behavior.
