PREVIOUS INFORMATION

The Sky's The Limit!  WHS Senior Prom is coming on Saturday, May 12th from 8:00-11:30 pm at the sky-high Columbia Tower Club in Seattle.  TODAY IS THE LAST DAY PROM TICKETS WILL BE SOLD .  Get ready for a dazzling night of music, food, dancing, and the company of your classmates!  Tickets are $55 per person and will be sold during both lunches at the ASB ticket booth in the Commons through TODAY. You must be clear of all fines in order to purchase a ticket.

Seniors!  Important!  There will be a Senior Class Meeting regarding graduation in the gym during Options on Wednesday, May 16th.  Mark you calendars to be there!

 

Army Recruiter Visit: If you are interested in learning more about the Army a recruiter will be available during lunches on Monday, May 14th.  Stop by the Commons to get your questions about joining the Army answered.

 

Parking Applications for 2012 - 2013:

  • ·   New parking applications for 2012-2013 will be available in Robin's office beginning Friday, May 11th.  You will have two weeks to complete the application and return it to her.  EVERY student needs to have a completed application on file, no matter what off campus class or 'special' situation a student might have.  The application must be completed in its entirety or it will not be considered, and signed by both student and parent/guardian.
  • ·   Also, all junior hangers including NEVAC and Running Start, need to be returned to Robin on or before the last day of school.  Any student not returning his/her hanger will have a fine assessed of $25.00.  When seniors graduate, the gravel lot will decrease in size so there will be no spots available for students who normally park on the street....... same as it has been the 3 last years.
  • ·   Next year we will be parking in our brand new, glorious upper parking lot!!!!  After two years of gravel, we are going to have an awesome place to park.  You are going to want to be part of this experience so get your fines paid, your application filled out completely and turned in by May 25th.

 

SPRING PRACTICE for Football and Volleyball - If you're planning to turn out for Football or Volleyball it's time to turn in your eligibility packet for Spring practice!  Football packets are due Tuesday May 15th and Volleyball packets are due Wednesday May 23rd.  Eligibility packets are available in the Main Office or downloaded from the WHS Athletics website.

 

U.W. Scholarship - Delta Upsilon Fraternity: If you are a male and planning to attend the University of Washington next year stop by the Career Center and pick-up a scholarship application from the Delta Upsilon Fraternity. There are four scholarships being offered in varying monetary amounts up to $1,000.You need not join a fraternity to qualify for the scholarship. The application deadline is May 31st.

 

Honor Society officer elections: will take place today and Friday during both lunches by the stairs.  Only sophomores and juniors who are in honor society may vote for next year's officers.  Sophomores will vote for president, vice president, secretary/treasurer, and junior representative positions while current juniors will vote for president, vice president, secretary/treasurer, and senior representative positions.  There will also be a sign-up form for volunteers for set-up and teardown at the Induction Ceremony in exchange for community service hours.  The results of the election will be revealed at the Induction Ceremony on the following Thursday.

 

The class of 2013 will be selling "Senior" shirts!   They are on sale through Friday, May 11th.  Shirts are only $10.  Come to the table in the commons during lunch with your $10 on today or Friday to purchase your shirts!
