It's time for the annual Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) conference at the University of Washington.
The conference will take place on Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This conference is focused toward women interested in and studying science and engineering from high school through graduate level.
The 21th annual conference will include sessions devoted solely to high school women!
Speakers and workshops include hands on engineering projects, introductions to college level research, career pathways, transitioning into university life, and what challenges and advantages women in the science and engineering fields have. The workshops run simultaneously so the individual student can tailor the conference for their needs. The registration fee is $20.00, and there are great opportunities to network, explore opportunities at the University and in industry, and learn more about topics that appeal to women studying and pursuing careers in the field.
